Terms of Service
Effective Date: January 1, 2024
1. Agreement to Terms
Welcome to Emergency Plumbing London. By accessing our website (EmergencyPlumbingLondon.com) or booking any of our plumbing, heating, or drainage services, you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or services.
2. Provision of Services
We offer rapid-response, 24/7 emergency plumbing services across the Greater London area. While we endeavor to reach all emergency call-outs within our stated 30-to-60 minute window, arrival times are estimates and may be subject to external factors such as severe traffic, extreme weather, or unpredicted high demand.
3. Estimates, Quotes, and Pricing
We pride ourselves on transparent pricing and zero hidden call-out fees. However, please note:
- Any price quoted over the telephone is an estimate based on the information provided by you.
- A final, exact, and binding quote can only be provided once our qualified engineer has arrived on-site and physically inspected the issue.
- No work will commence until you have explicitly approved the final on-site quote.
- We reserve the right to charge a diagnostic fee if extensive fault-finding is required, which will always be discussed with you beforehand.
4. Payment Terms
Full payment is strictly due upon the satisfactory completion of the work on the same day, unless you hold an approved commercial account with us. We accept cash, major credit/debit cards, and immediate bank transfers. Late payments may be subject to additional statutory interest and administrative fees.
5. Guarantee and Warranties
We confidently back our workmanship with a comprehensive 12-month guarantee. If the exact same fault occurs within 12 months as a direct result of our workmanship, we will rectify it free of charge. This guarantee does not cover materials or parts supplied by the customer, nor does it cover blockages or damage caused by subsequent misuse, pre-existing structural flaws, or third-party interference.
6. Limitation of Liability
While we take every possible precaution, we cannot be held liable for any indirect, consequential, or pre-existing damage to your property. If we must access concealed pipework (e.g., behind tiles or under floorboards) to resolve an emergency leak, we are not responsible for the cosmetic restoration of those surfaces, though we will always strive to minimize disruption.
7. Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes relating to these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
